PORTRAITS

RAIDING PROJECT MODEL: Yasuhiro Yamashita‘s Raiding Project model “Amber Road House” is on view at Gallery Ma in Tokyo from October 13 to December 22, 2012. Raiding is located at the ancient Roman trading route called “Amber Road”. Yamashita envisions a house made of recycled glass bricks that encase “found objects” by the families of Raiding. Old tools, kitchen utensils or toys, for instance, that are preserved and visible like substances frozen in amber.
